Surprisingly, without any pre-ad, Google Photos has received an update where a more interesting feature has been added that allows you to blur the background of almost any image edited within the app in question.
If you have already downloaded the latest version of the Google Photos app on your mobile phone and did not find this option, don’t worry, it is necessary to meet certain requirements to use it. Here we will explain how to activate it, how to use it and where to find it.
Before following the steps in this tutorial that we’ll show you below, we recommend that you check if you have the latest version of Google Photos installed on your mobile phone. You can do this by accessing the Google Play Store, or by downloading it from the link we leave below.
- Once you open the Google Photos app, you must select a picture in which one or more people appear. With the image selected, an option called Blur background will appear, click it.
- A small bar will be displayed in the bottom menu, and here you will have to adjust this bar to your liking.
- With the image background completely out of focus, you must click the option that says save as a copy so that changes can be applied and saved
If this function doesn’t appear at the bottom of the image, you won’t be able to use it. What Google does is automatically analyze the image, and if it complies with the necessary requirements, this option will appear, otherwise it cannot be used in the image you have chosen.
